1. High Risk Investments. Victims are usually being contacted by phone or email, and being offered a chance to invest in shares, gemstones, art, fine wines. The promise? Their promise is that the value of your investment will sky rocket.

Lesson: Always remember, if it is high yield or high profit,  most often that not, it is a high risk. Even banks or market brokers have disclaimers and notices — that investments can be risky and you must be of legal and and capacity to take the risk.

2.Foreign Lottery Scams. Most of the times, the victims receive an email, being told that they won a lottery. Due to the extreme excitement, even if they personally know that they did not buy any ticket or entry, the victims give in because of the huge amount involve.

Lesson: If you did not took any risks, nothing to gain. If you did not buy any entry or ticket for lottery, then, you will NOT win. As simple as that. Simply ignore the email and mark it as spam.

3. Property Investing Scams. The victims are usually being invited to attend a property investment presentation. Schemes may offer opportunities of big discounts. These scammers usually make money from joining free from the members, while the members end up without any property.

Lesson: Investing in property involves a very huge amount. Therefore, before joining any property investment membership or before going on any presentation, always search the internet with the word “Complaints”, “Complains” or “Scam”. If it turned out to have some REAL SCAM result, at least, you know what to expect.

You can always attend presentations for free, BUT always be careful in taking your credit card out of your pocket. As long as you are not giving your details, you are safe.

4. Work at Home and Business Opportunity Scams. The Work at Home and Business Opportunity Scams Online is countless. It is everywhere. Here, there, you can never tell. Sometimes, it is really freaking out to see some scammers, changing their domain names, brand names, logos, same author, same content, same problem, same complains, same broken links.

Lesson: Keep yourself knowledgeable. It is the first step to making money online and keep those sites you think you can trust. Internet is full of hungry sharks — so you better be prepared to know their tricks.

A good website with good graphics does not mean they are legit. Even those who received an award for being internet marketers of the year can be a candidate for being a scam artist or scammer of the year… Keep updated. Sooner or later, you will know who to avoid.

5. Bogus Holiday Clubs. The victims are being promised of free holiday. This is being done on a presentation and encourage them to sign up on memberships. Being a member will be have a great value holidays all over the world.

However, in reality, the dates and destinations cannot be guaranteed. Most importantly, holidays are usually NOT available. In the end, the holiday is NOT really free.

Lesson: Most of the scammers know that people who can afford the holiday has this extra money, and are willing to pay for leisures. If you have some extra money to spend, before spending, always search for “Scam” or “Complaints”. If there are people complaining about a service or product, most probably, you will see a result.
